The package does nothing by default. The systemd service silently exits because /etc/config/opennds does not exist. According to the documentation, the legacy config file is being ignored nowadays. The expected config file appears to be removed during the package build, though. IMHO this should either be patched, so opennds in Debian expects a config file /etc/opennds/opennds which should be shipped. Or /etc/config/opennds must be shipped. In any case, I would expect that this is documented somewhere.
