Package: ltsp Version: 23.02-3 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
after creating a chrootless system with "ltsp image /" logging on the clients fail. More precisely is it very confusing (for test purposes only). Login on console of client works for all users. Login on Display Manager works for root. sudo and users (adduser) created on the client can run startx. Non-root users, existing on the server can't login on Display Manager or run startx. The xserver is crashing for non-root users. ~/.xsession-errors: unix_listener_tmp: bind "/home/<user>/.ssh/agent/s.kUCn3PJsX4.agent.3zD5b9hytG": Operation not permitted main: Couldn't prepare agent socket xserver is crashing due to a missing ssh-agent. A workaround is to remove the line use-ssh-agent in file "/etc/X11/Xsession.options" The only way I have found to do that, is to remove /etc/X11/Xsession.options at all on the client. I know this is less smart. /etc/ltsp/ltsp.conf: [common] ADD_IMAGE_EXCLUDES="/etc/ltsp/add-image.excludes" /etc/ltsp/add-image.excludes (Don't use a leading /): etc/X11/Xsession.options Finally running "ltsp image /" again. Now login is possible for all users.
