I would like it if dh-python made this be a FTBFS rather than something that we have to clean up afterwards, though. It could fail hard if there's a conflict in top_level.txt.
Yeah. I'm +1 on that. With PEP3147+3149, we have not needed to use the interpreter-specific import paths in packages (to my knowledge). If we did need to use them, we could have a flag to allow it.
