No, because whether the repo is patches-unapplied (ie, what --gbp
means), is largely orthogonal to the upstream handling (gbp
import-orig vs git merge).
It's entirely possible to use gbp import-orig and then git-debrebase.
(in which case --quilt=linear but git-debpush should push upstream)
Or gbp pq on top of a plain git import from upstream (in which
case --quilt=gbp but the local and remote upstream branches might be
something entirely else).
