Package: fdclone Version: 3.01j-1.1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
the upstream Makefile installs manpage fd.1 and hardlinks it to fdsh.1. Debian package provides Debian-written fdsh.1 that inadvertently replaces both fd.1 and fdsh.1 on install. The Debian-provided manpage is just a stub, and probably not needed anyway as the upstream fd.1 manpage covers the use of /usr/bin/fdsh as well. I've uploaded fixed package here (it makes other changes as well, see debian/changelog): https://app.box.com/s/p0rluaiwm6ygz37vt5wwuejcj87nec3n HTH, Sergey Romanov *** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** * What led up to the situation? * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? * What was the outcome of this action? * What outcome did you expect instead? *** End of the template - remove these template lines *** -- System Information: Debian Release: forky/sid APT prefers resolute-updates APT policy: (500, 'resolute-updates'), (500, 'resolute-security'), (500, 'resolute') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 7.0.0-29-generic (SMP w/4 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages fdclone depends on: ii libc6 2.43-2ubuntu2.3 ii libtinfo6 6.6+20251231-1 fdclone recommends no packages. fdclone suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
