Hi, sorry to bother. I received a request to package fonts-adwaita-mono in Debian.
The upstream adwaita-fonts repository contains mono/private-build-plans.toml and mono/update-fonts.sh. Currently, the upstream script downloads Iosevka 34.1.0, runs npm install, and builds Adwaita Mono from the custom build plan. I noticed that Debian already has the fonts-iosevka source package, which bundles the required verda/npm build environment. I tested the current Iosevka source package locally with the Adwaita Mono build plan, and this works: $ npm run build -- ttf-unhinted::AdwaitaMono --jCmd=1 It produces the four required fonts: AdwaitaMono-Regular.ttf AdwaitaMono-Bold.ttf AdwaitaMono-Italic.ttf AdwaitaMono-BoldItalic.ttf My question is: what would be the preferred Debian packaging approach here? In particular, should fonts-adwaita vendor the required Iosevka source/build environment, or is there a preferred way to reuse the fonts-iosevka source package/build infrastructure?
