Hmm, that's more than expected for a NMU (which in theory is not supposed to change debhelper compat level and things like that). Because I usually put things in salsa in granular form, I've decided to follow a simplified approach and just do the version upgrade (which is what you need for your "jack" package) and a few tidy up changes only.
