Package: gnome-terminal Version: 3.60.0-3 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected]
With previous versions of gnome-terminal, upgrading would take effect on a subsequent run of gnome-terminal, but would not interrupt existing terminals. However, with the new version of gnome-terminal, upgrading kills all open gnome-terminal sessions; it appears that it restarts the systemd user unit. Please consider changing this to stop killing running terminals, which may have valuable data or context in them. -- System Information: Debian Release: forky/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: arm64 Kernel: Linux 7.1.7+deb14-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=C.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages gnome-terminal depends on: ii dbus-user-session [default-dbus-session-bus] 1.16.2-5+b1 ii dconf-gsettings-backend [gsettings-backend] 0.49.0-4+b1 ii gnome-terminal-data 3.60.0-3 ii gsettings-desktop-schemas 51~beta-1 hi init-system-helpers 1.69 ii libatk1.0-0t64 2.61.1-1 ii libc6 2.43-3 ii libcairo2 1.18.4-3+b1 ii libgcc-s1 16.2.0-1 ii libglib2.0-0t64 2.88.3-3 ii libgtk-3-0t64 3.24.52-1 ii libhandy-1-0 1.8.3-4 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.58.0-1 ii libstdc++6 16.2.0-1 ii libuuid1 2.42.2-3 ii libvte-2.91-0 0.84.1-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.8.13-1 Versions of packages gnome-terminal recommends: ii gvfs 1.60.0-2+b1 pn nautilus-extension-gnome-terminal <none> ii xdg-terminal-exec 0.14.2-1 ii yelp 49.1-3 gnome-terminal suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
