The golang-github-tent-canonical-json-go package was last uploaded on 2021-02-08 with upstream code from 2013, so it appears unmaintained. It has no reverse dependencies in Debian. https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/golang-github-tent-canonical-json-go The upstream project was archived in 2020: https://github.com/tent/canonical-json-go This removal request is part of a larger batch to remove 100+ unused golang-*-dev packages from Debian. I believe the QA cost associated with keeping all of them is larger than the cost of (hopefully extremely rare) re-introduction of any accidentally removed package if there is ever any future need for it.
