The golang-github-bifurcation-mint package ships upstream code from 2020 and appears unmaintained. It has no reverse dependencies in Debian. https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/golang-github-bifurcation-mint The upstream project saw its last commit 5 years ago and is an implementation of TLS 1.3 which is a security sensitive protocol, and one now supported by Go natively. https://github.com/bifurcation/mint This project is primarily a learning effort for me to understand the TLS 1.3 protocol This removal request is part of a larger batch to remove 100+ unused golang-*-dev packages from Debian. I believe the QA cost associated with keeping all of them is larger than the cost of (hopefully extremely rare) re-introduction of any accidentally removed package if there is ever any future need for it.
