Description : Bundletool is the official tool from the android
toolchain for creating aab packages
Bundletool usage is described at
https://developer.android.com/tools/bundletool#build_app_bundle
bundletool is a requirement for creating an aab instead of an apk for
Android devices. I'm not aware of alternate tools (in particular:
alternate tools packaged for Debian) for creating an aab.
The current workaround is to download the desired version and executing
it as-is with java; for example:
VERSION="1.18.3";
wget
"https://github.com/google/bundletool/releases/download/${VERSION}/bundletool-all-${VERSION}.jar"
java -jar bundletool-all-${VERSION}.jar ....
It would be better, if this program can be installed like all other
programs used for creating android packages: zipaling, aapt, aapt2, dx,
apksigner, javac, ...
In particular, since this program it handles generates artifacts and
creates other artifacts, it would make it easier to install a consistent
build environment on a Debian machine, which would help to avoid
inconsistencies between all the tools used for creating an android package.
