The golang-gopkg-mail.v2 package ships upstream code from 2021 and appears unmaintained. It has no reverse dependencies in Debian. https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/golang-gopkg-mail.v2 The upstream project was archived in 2024: https://github.com/go-mail/mail This removal request is part of a larger batch to remove 100+ unused golang-*-dev packages from Debian. I believe the QA cost associated with keeping all of them is larger than the cost of (hopefully extremely rare) re-introduction of any accidentally removed package if there is ever any future need for it.
