Following up on the two things I said were outstanding, and with one
correction to my earlier reply.

Screenshots are on that page — main window, compose, month and week
calendar views. It is a dedicated site rather than the consultancy
page you saw, which was a fair criticism.
The correction. I wrote that the advertising claim on my site was
about "the build I distribute myself" and "not what a Debian package
would contain". That implied two builds differing in that respect, and
there is only one. Everything else I said was accurate — no ad
network, no creative shipped in any artefact, no network request,
nothing behind payment — but the framing was wrong and you can now
see that for yourself in the source, so I would rather say it than
have you find it.
Accurately: there is one build. The ad display code is in the GPL
source tree. No advertising creative ships in any artefact, and the
slot renders only if a file is deliberately placed in the user's
config directory. Nothing fetches one. A default install displays no
advertising, and that is true of the packages on my own site as much
as it would be of a Debian one.
The offer stands: if Debian would rather that surface were absent from
the packaged build entirely, I will make it a build-time option and
remove it.
I have also corrected the wording on my own site, which was the source
of the impression you formed.
