This package appears unmaintained. It has no reverse dependencies in Debian unstable, see dak output at the end of this e-mail. https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/golang-github-gohugoio-locales Upstream project has been archived: https://github.com/gohugoio/locales Superseeded by https://github.com/bep/golocales According to the ITP bug it was needed by 'hugo', but 'hugo' appears to be using the new package name above (which is vendored in hugo but should ideally be packaged separately). This removal request is part of a larger batch to remove 100+ unused golang-*-dev packages from Debian. I believe the QA cost associated with keeping all of them is larger than the cost of (hopefully extremely rare) re-introduction of any accidentally removed package if there is ever any future need for it.
