In setting up DHCPv6-PD on my local network I discovered that the Debian packaged version of radvd is too old (2.20) for RFC 9762 support. Specifically upstream commit 760c15f8b4b248867f47825f78b6292379cdea64 added a new configurationm flag "AdvDHCPv6PDPreferred" which is necessary to signal to clients that they should ask the DHCPv6 service for a Prefix Delegation. Version 2.21 was released 2026-05-25 with this change included. I grabbed the upstream source, copied in the current Debian `debian/` directory and built the current HEAD (fbbacdcbd12f829453deb33ed50a5a49a3c42b05) without issues.
