The faults come from the VA-API driver: with LIBVA_DRIVERS_PATH=/nonexistent, or with mesa-va-drivers removed altogether, the same command produces no TRAP_PROP at all.
The "channel failed to initialise, -17" line is unaffected by any of this and appears to be a separate issue; I have no explanation for it.
