Dear Maintainer,
On Debian Sid, Engrampa fails to create a ZIP archive from a large
directory, while creating a tar.gz archive from the identical directory
succeeds.
This was reproduced on two separate Debian MATE systems.
Test procedure:
1. Copy the same .thunderbird directory to a local SSD.
2. Verify the source directory file count and size.
3. In Caja, select the directory and choose Compress.
4. Select ZIP and attempt to create test.thunderbird.zip.
5. Engrampa displays the "adding to test.thunderbird.zip" progress dialog
and creates a temporary .fr-* working directory.
6. Disk space decreases substantially while the operation runs.
7. The progress dialog eventually disappears.
8. No ZIP archive is produced. The temporary files disappear and the disk
space returns.
Using the identical .thunderbird directory, selecting tar.gz succeeds.
A 10.6 GB tar.gz archive was successfully created.
The problem appears specific to ZIP archive creation. I do not know
whether the cause is Engrampa itself, 7zip, zip, or their interaction.
