Package: tar Version: 1.15.91-2 Severity: normal My problem is akin to #255067 and #329843.
When extracting a fresh base.tgz from pbuilder, a fair number of symlinks end up as 0-size, 0-rights files (e.g. /usr/bin/cc). I have rebuild the archive several times, and apparently the same symlinks remain affected each time. Some symlinks are extracted properly. This happens without any error message when extracting the base.tgz manually using sid's tar; sarge's tar is OK (1.14-2.2). -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i586) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-3-386 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages tar depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6-15 GNU C Library: Shared libraries tar recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
