I am not sure how the cgit team works; I am using cgit in "production" for my humble software projects on trixie so I would happily handle the backport. I recently got the backports ACLs so I should be able to do it for cgit. So I think you can upload to unstable and feel free to ping me once it reaches testing so I can have a look at backporting it into trixie-backports. Thanks! Agathe.
