Feel free to work on this. I don't currently use dkms so it would take me more work to figure out how to test this feature. In my research, I saw that Fedora enables this feature, but most other distros don't. https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/gnome-software/blob/rawhide/f/gnome-software.spec#_306 My initial thinking is to put the extra files in gnome-software-plugin-deb.
