I think Warning would be appropriate. Assuming nobody on this list objects to recommending the removal of EOT fonts from Debian, we should probably post on debian-devel asking if anyone is aware of any corner cases that we haven’t thought of that justifies retaining them. If there are no objections, we can update the font policy (using the “should” verbiage, which correlates to a lintian Warning). https://wiki.debian.org/Fonts/PackagingPolicy Then we can create a lintian tag named something like eot-fonts-should-not-be- shipped (or a better name if someone can think of one) that explains why and references the policy.
