Package: src:wiredtiger Version: 3.2.1-2 Severity: wishlist
Hello. This package is stuck at version 3.2.1 since Debian 11 (oldoldstable) File debian/README.Debian says this is because MongoDB switched to SSPL. However, MongoDB and WiredTiger are different projects, and according to "LICENSE" file as found here: https://github.com/wiredtiger/wiredtiger it's GPL and therefore DFSG-compliant. There is even a special page regarding WiredTiger licensing: https://source.wiredtiger.com/license.html So: Is there a real reason for this package to be stuck at version 3.2.1? ------------------------------------------------------------ Side note: I have no interest in the package, except for the fact that it makes my single-cpu autobuilders to hang: [...] PASS: test_wt1965_col_efficiency PASS: test_wt2403_lsm_workload PASS: test_wt2246_col_append E: Build killed with signal TERM after 60 minutes of inactivity I wonder if Laszlo would be willing to look at that and determine if it's a bug in the code or a bug in the tests, but naturally this would be only useful for trixie if the problem goes away in the latest version. ------------------------------------------------------------ Thanks.
