Hi, Following up on own message again: It seems Ubuntu developers started a new project to bring easy to use speech-to-text dictation called "Myna".
I haven't tested it myself, but I saw it promoted at https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2026/09/ubuntu-myna-ai-install. I wasn't able to find the source code - the .deb packages are of format "3.0 quilt" but there is no debian/upstream/metadata nor any Homepage or Vcs-Git fields in the debian/control file. > Following up on my own email, seems many Linux distros are embracing Voxtype > (https://voxtype.io/) > > I filed a RFP in https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1131854 to > see if anyone else shares the interest in this > >> Hi, >> >> I noticed Fedora 42 had this release goal: >> https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/ibus-speech-to-text >> >> What is the current state of speech-to-text input method / apps in >> Debian?
