This package contains the official CSL schemas: the RELAX NG schemas that describe CSL styles and locales, the JSON schemas for the CSL-JSON item data model, and tools to validate and reformat them. . The schema is currently only available in the archive as a private copy inside python3-citeproc (citeproc/data/schema/). That copy is the same upstream release, but it sits in a Python module's data directory, which is not an interface other packages can build against. This package publishes the schema at a stable path (/usr/share/citation-style-language/schema/) next to the existing citation-style-language-styles and citation-style-language-locales. . The first consumer is node-csl-validator-wasm (ITP #1149518), which has to carry the schema inside its own source tarball to build its WebAssembly style validator. Both are part of packaging Zotero for Debian (#1125955).
