The repository holds one i18n/vscode-language-pack-<id>/translations/main.i18n.json per language, about 2.4 MB each for the 13 languages VS Code currently ships. It is not an npm package and has no usable tag - the newest tag is v1.98 from 2025-02, while the repository itself is still being updated - so the orig will be a commit snapshot. A full checkout is about 1 GB, so the source package will be repacked down to the translation files actually needed. I need it as a build-dependency of node-monaco-editor-core, which I am packaging (monaco-editor 0.57.0). The localized editor bundles (nls.messages.<lang>.js) are flat arrays ordered by the global NLS index that core's nls.keys.json defines, so they have to be produced by the same build as core itself, and will be shipped as a second binary package, node-monaco-editor-core-l10n, from the node-monaco-editor-core source package.
