Package: epiphany-browser
Version: 48.5-0+deb13u1

I run GNOME 1:48+2 on Wayland.

The bug emerged a few days ago. Reproduce:

Open amazon.com or ebay.com or amazon.de or ebay.de in the Epiphany browser.
While the blue progress indicator is showing that the Web page is still being
loaded, we see the real contents of the Web pages. As the very end, when the
initial loading finishes, the loading indicator goes from left to right once
again (an auto-reload?), and the contents disappears. In the attachment you
find the final result.
On the console from where we start the Web browser, we get

(epiphany:178881): epiphany-WARNING **: 22:24:10.715: Web process crashed

Here, 22:24:10.715 is the time of the crash.

Clearing all the cookies helps just once; after cleansing and restarting
Epiphany and re-trying the page, the wrong behavior reemerges. As a result,
amazon/ebay are not usable with Epiphany.

Please fix this.

Known workarounds:

$ WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=1 epiphany-browser http://amazon.com

or

$ WEBKIT_DISABLE_DMABUF_RENDERER=1 epiphany-browser http://amazon.com

With any of these two variables set, the second reloading (into the blank
nirvana) doesn't happen.

To compare, firefox on the same machine works on amazon/eBay just fine.

Simple static HTML pages are also shown by Epiphany on the same machine just
fine, e.g., /usr/share/w3m/w3mhelp.html.

Gratefully,
Peter
