device-tree-compiler upstream 1.8.0 droped support for this check in commit cba90ce82064ad1e6d25f20d8eaa940bd2fc97ed and device-tree-compiler was updated in unstable to 1.8.1 from 1.7.x in August. Hunting for a fix or workaround... live well, vagrant
