For a reason not known to me, I didn't get your replies to my inbox, so I looked up the bug report online. Anyway, if I ever resize partitions and move the pruned blockchain to ext4, and if the bug reemerges then, I am likely to reopen.
bug-ridden and the bugs that are caused are not cared about
“bug-ridden” is a general state for many packages and setups, I'm afraid (at least my journal is full of warnings and errors). As for “not cared about”, it's a pragmatic reason; I understand that. After looking into daemon/main.cpp in a hope to make sense of the code, I see that I can't meaningfully contribute within my time constraints :-(.
