I have the same problem, not caused by any change in the flightgear package but caused by "aptitude update"; I run testing.
During this update I noticed the package qml6-module-qt-labs-assetdownloader, which was newly flagged as "obsolete or locally created" in aptitude. I deleted this package, nothing depended on it. But now I suspect that flightgear did indeed depend on it, indirectly. I tried re-installing this package but I can no longer find it. See also https://gitlab.com/flightgear/flightgear/-/work_items/3441 which seems to be the same, and is fixed in flightgear 2024.1.7. Maybe packaging the new version would solve the problem? -- Ludovic Brenta.
