Package: uswsusp Version: 0.2-1 Severity: normal 'man uswsusp.conf' says that one of the options is "resume_device". debconf puts "resume device = ..." into /etc/uswsusp.conf; changing that line to "resume_device = ..." makes uswsusp segfault.
So, perhaps a typo in the manpage (probably also concerning the other options with/without underscore)? In any case, uswsusp should not segfault but abort with an error message when happening upon an unrecognized config stanza -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (700, 'unstable'), (650, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-1-686 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages uswsusp depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.2 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.3.6-15 GNU C Library: Shared libraries Versions of packages uswsusp recommends: ii initramfs-tools 0.68b tools for generating an initramfs -- debconf information: uswsusp/no_swap: * uswsusp/early_writeout: true * uswsusp/image_size: 250000000 * uswsusp/snapshot_device: * uswsusp/loglevel: uswsusp/encrypt: false * uswsusp/checksum: false * uswsusp/compress: true * uswsusp/resume_device: /dev/hda2 uswsusp/splash: false
