Hi Santiago, Peter, Thank you for the report. I have pushed a backport of the upstream fix for this FTBFS to debian/master:

With libuv 1.53.0, CTest cannot start it and reports an exec format error before Python runs. Adding #!/bin/sh fixes the launcher. The upstream fix is: https://github.com/rpm-software-management/createrepo_c/commit/6c68080d522d1254aa792f84c5f5220aa3a081dc The updated 1.2.1-3 candidate passes normal and nocheck sbuilds on unstable/amd64 with CMake 4.3.4-1 and libuv 1.53.0-1. The normal build runs 127 C cases, 136 Python tests and repotest. Both autopkgtests, repotest and the installed C consumer, pass. Lintian 2.142.0 on source and binaries reports no errors or warnings. The candidate remains UNRELEASED pending sponsor review and upload. Its changelog includes Closes: #1151137. I am leaving this bug open until the corrected package is accepted into the Debian archive. Best regards, Federico
