Package: ripit Version: 4.0.0~rc20161009-1 Severity: normal Tags: upstream Dear Maintainer,
when more than one cd-drive is installed, the first drive (/dev/sr0 in my case) is always queried for cd-text when the option "--cdtext 1" is set. This is even the case when ripping from other drives /dev/sr1,2,etc) leading to wrong track lists when using cdtext. It seems to be a missing option for the devicename in the "cd-info" command in line 2219 of ripit. Modifiying it from: open(CDTXT, "cd-info --no-cddb |"); to: open(CDTXT, "cd-info --cdrom-device=$cddev --no-cddb |"); worked for me. Not sure if this is relevant, as upstream-development of ripit has been dead for 10 years, but I thught it wouldn't hurt to report it. -- System Information: Debian Release: forky/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 7.2.12-1-siduction-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages ripit depends on: ii cdparanoia 3.10.2+debian-14+b2 ii faac 1:2.2-dmo1 ii ffmpeg 10:9.0.2-dmo3 ii flac 1.5.0+ds-5+b1 ii lame 2:4.0-dmo1 ii libcddb-get-perl 2.28-4 ii libdigest-md5-file-perl 0.08-2 ii libmime-base64-urlsafe-perl 0.01-5 ii libmp3-tag-perl 1.16-1 ii libmusicbrainz-discid-perl 0.06-2+b3 ii libtext-unidecode-perl 1.30-3 ii libunicode-utf8-perl 0.75-1+b1 ii libwebservice-musicbrainz-perl 1.0.11-1 ii libwww-perl 6.83-1 ii libxml-simple-perl 2.25-2 ii normalize-audio 0.7.7-21 ii perl 5.42.3-1 ii vorbis-tools 1.4.3-1 Versions of packages ripit recommends: ii postfix [mail-transport-agent] 3.11.7-1 Versions of packages ripit suggests: ii eject 2.42.4-1 pn id3 <none> ii id3v2 0.1.12+dfsg-10 -- no debconf information
