Control: owner -1 !
Hi,
I would like to take over this ITP. I have not seen activity on this
ITP since 2024. Please tell me and I will gladly coordinate with you
or step back; the owner can be changed again at any time.
Current state:
- crosvm's last missing build dependency, minijail, is now in
unstable. 2026.05.18+git20261016.8787d1a-2 ships libminijail-dev,
librust-minijail-dev, librust-minijail-sys-dev and python3-minijail
(sponsored by Ying-Chun Liu).
- p9 and p9_wire_format_derive are packaged (rust-p9,
rust-p9-wire-format-derive).
The packaging is on Salsa:
https://salsa.debian.org/ysk/crosvm (branch debian/latest)
It builds the Linux/KVM hypervisor with
--no-default-features --features qcow,balloon,net,usb,audio
using only crates from the archive, and builds cleanly in an unstable
chroot. gpu and slirp are disabled: gpu needs rutabaga_gfx and magma-gpu,
which are not in Debian, and slirp is a Windows-only backend upstream.
I plan to upload
crosvm 0.1.0~git20261022.c917be82d+ds-1
through a sponsor soon.
