For reference: upstream google/pybadges was archived on GitHub in August 2025, and its last commit was in June 2024. I maintain badgepy, a fork of pybadges ( https://www.google.com/url?q=https://github.com/shenxianpeng/badgepy&source=gmail&ust=1793149214524000&sa=E, on PyPI as "badgepy"). It contains the same fixes this package carries as patches (no imghdr, no pkg_resources), supports Python 3.10 to 3.15, and keeps the pybadges API under the import name "badgepy". No action is needed. I'm filing this only so the team knows an active upstream exists, in case it is useful later. Thanks for keeping python-pybadges working. Xianpeng Shen
