Followup-For: Bug #882667
HIP support now works with ROCM/HIP 7.2.4.
tested with single GPU only
ROCM_ARCHS=gfx1201
CMAKE_GPU_FLAGS += -DHYPRE_ENABLE_HIP=ON \
-DROCM_PATH=/usr \
-DCMAKE_HIP_PLATFORM=amd \
-DCMAKE_HIP_ARCHITECTURES='$(ROCM_ARCHS)' \
-DCMAKE_HIP_COMPILER=clang++-22 \
-DHYPRE_ENABLE_ROCSPARSE=ON \
-DHYPRE_ENABLE_ROCSOLVER=ON \
-DHYPRE_ENABLE_ROCBLAS=ON \
-DHYPRE_ENABLE_ROCRAND=ON \
-DHYPRE_ENABLE_UMPIRE=OFF
debian/tests (autopkgtest) also succeeds (at least for test_hypre)
replacing CC=mpicc with CC=hipcc
and adding "-x hip --offload-arch=gfx1201" to CGFLAGS
"-x hip" is key to building zboxloop.c, since HIP is a C++ superset, not
C (treated as C code it can't compile the templates in zboxloop.c)
Then ./zboxloop can run successfully,
though it is not included in make check.
