Now that gmpc has been removed (#1151749), pms is the only package
remaining in the archive that depends on libmpd.

libmpd is orphaned (I did its most recent QA upload, in 2024) and
appears to be dead upstream: it was previously maintained by the
maintainer of gmpc.

Is pms still a good choice for a mpd client? If yes, perhaps its
maintainers could adopt libmpd? Or if pms is no longer useful, perhaps
it should be removed from Debian?

Thanks,
