note that the patch includes a new test. It would make sense to run the test to
make sure the bug is gone on all architectures. The test is not run by 'make
check', so you would have to add 'make testlibgap' to debian/rules.
If you don't want to run the testlibgap tests, it's enough to patch only
src/libgap-api.h.

I just wanted to record also here a bug in libgap which causes segfaults in
sagemath on some platforms, most visibly armhf.
A patch is available in the upstream issue, in case you want to apply it
already.
