Package: ppp
Version: 2.4.4rel-2

The /etc/ppp/ip-up.d/0000usepeerdns script checks for the $USEPEERDNS environment variable before "messing" with /etc/resolv.conf.

I think that the /etc/ppp/ip-down.d/0000usepeerdns script should also check $USEPEERDNS before "unmessing" /etc/resolv.conf. What is happening is that I have a ppp connection that does not use peer-dns. When that ppp interface goes down, the /etc/resolv.conf file gets replaced with a previous version of /etc/ppp/resolv.conf that does not apply. From that moment on, I can no longer resolve names.

I hope I explained my problem well enough.

Thanks,

Marc
