There is an open bug for that (you cc'd) it, and has been open since
October 2005 without maintainer comment.

There has been a recent followup Fri, 23 Jun which the bts is supposed
to send to the maintainer. I have notified the bug *today* _in_
_advance_ that I intend to fix it. The bts forwarded this message to
the maintainer.

What else do you want besides

- an old open bug.
- no reaction from maintainer
- mail to the bug report giving the maintainer another chance to
  react?

I honestly have no idea what else I could have done.

Just tell me. But please fix the bug.
