Package: gpm Version: 1.19.6-22 Severity: normal I've got /dev/input/mice as my GPM mouse device (I think it was the default) and I'm using udev. If a mouse isn't plugged in udev does not load the mousedev driver at boot (which is probably correct) and so there is no /dev/input/mice for gpm to open. A "modprobe -q mousedev" in the initscript if the device is /dev/input/mice would fix this nicely (probably just before the loop marked "# HACK" that waits for $device to appear).
