I just discovered two more things: - even with sudo, I can write to the directory only if it and the files are writable by all - without sudo, I find an smbd core dump in the directory: so smbd is the culprit! -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
