~/.kde/socket-`hostname` is not available
stop

We just had a user in irc:

21:04:19 < fly_80> hello
21:04:47 < fly_80> i installed xine but when i run it , it crashes with :
"can't create mcop directory"
21:05:03 < fly_80> anybody can help me ?
21:07:36 < siretart> fly_80: aah, please try to call xine like this: 'xine -A
alsa'
21:07:45 < siretart> fly_80: does this still happen?
21:07:49 < fly_80> uhm, i try
21:07:56 < _ds> Hm. A quick search shows that it's a KDE problem..
21:08:07 < fly_80> it crashes
21:08:15 < fly_80> but without error
21:08:26 < fly_80> i'm not running KDE
21:08:38 < fly_80> i'm on GNOME
21:08:52 < Flameeyes> it's trying to use arts most likely
21:09:03 < _ds> Solution is, apparently, to "mkdir ~/.kde/socket-`hostname`"
(substitute hostname accordingly)
21:11:21 < _ds> So... fly_80, does that mkdir solve the problem?
21:13:00 < fly_80> ok i try
21:13:28 < fly_80> yes
