I did accidentally encounter this bug somehow last night, or at least
some close relation whilst I was actually trying to watch a DVD rather
than testing! Unfortuately I haven't figured out exactly what it was
that caused it - it seemed to have occured after I killed kde's
screensaver process and only recovered when I restarted X.

If it's a change in a default it a newer version of X I would have
expected it to affect a lot more people than it appears to have done.

Thanks, I did notice there was a lot of new code for something to do
with color keys in cvs yesterday whilst browsing through cvs. I shall
have a look at including the code from cvs (I assume it is all in the
one file mpeg2_video/video_output_x11.c)

Thanks,
Alan
