This is done intentionally. ekg2 is still (very) unstable, so debugging
information is necessary.

True, there are in fact lots of things in the package which should be
split off into separate packages (the current set of dependancies is
somewhat overwhelming). However, since there's a long way to
stabilisation, doing a proper split is low on my priority list.
