Package: debian-installer Severity: normal the etch beta d-i installed pbbuttonsd, which is a program for mac laptops. i have a dell laptop, so i believe that this is an installer mistake this isn't really problematic per se, but i do get an error message, "ERROR: The object '/dev/pmu' does not exist'" on each boot, which is a minor, but benign nuissance.
i don't think that pbbuttonsd should be installed on non-mac hardware. mike -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (600, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-2-686 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
