Package: fortune-mod
Version: 1:1.99.1-2
Severity: important

The fortune just installed does not give any output.
Some investigation led me to remove all the catagory.u8 files,
and lo-and-behold, everything was OK....

I do not understand the 'recode_string' function, but that is
the one to reduce the outout to nothing. Try 'ltrace -S fortune'
and look at what happens around the recode_string function.
