Reproducing the bug is very simple: 1. open a directory with lots of directories 2. select 5 or so 3. hit ALT+Return 4. close the properties window 5. re-do hit ALT+Return Do that a few times and you will get all kinds of totals. The same thing happens for gnome-vfs apps (like nautilus-cd-burner). Select a bunch of items in that and it will give you random file sizes.
