Package: sasl2-bin Version: 2.1.19.dfsg1-0.2 Severity: important I'm using saslauthd with pam backend (using libpam-mysql), and on a medium busy server the saslauthd processes grows until all the physical ram is exausted. It is then necessary to restart the service to make the system usable again. Following some hints like described here: http://www.web-cyradm.org/pipermail/web-cyradm/2005-August/019268.html I disabled thread pools with "-n 0" at the high (for me) cost of spawning a new process for every request and this works as a temporary workaround, but it's unsuitable if the load rises.
