Hi Sven, Thanks for following up on this bug report, which is old, as you note. The new behavior is a slight improvement, but as you note, the period is wrongly placed. I indeed don't really find the plain text export satisfactory. The footnotes probably need to be pushed onto a queue and then that queue should be emptied when the document body is otherwise finished. Furthermore, the footnotes should be numbered. So I would expect output like: ---sample--- This is a sample letter[1]. This is another sentence[2] in the sample letter. [1] This is footnote 1.
