Thanks for your report and sorry I did not react earlier. I'll include your patch in the next upload and submit it upstream. Is there a possibility to check if the version present in the build environment is affected by the mentioned binutils bug? In debian we know our build environment rather well, but it would be nice if we could add the -Wa,-xgot if needed in an upstream patch. Thanks, Wolfi
